HISTORY

The Organisition was established in 2012 when the first group was started and later registered with the NGOs Coordination board on July 2013.

PELEP has steadily grown and expanded its operations in different counties i.e. Kiambu, Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Nakuru, Tharaka-nithi, Nyandarua as well as Embu County.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To assist individuals and organized self help groups acquire modern farming techniques for optimal productivity
  2. To train and facilitate its members to participate in modern business opportunities and assist them to acquire managerial skills
  3. To raise, mobilize and disburse funds and other resources for promoting individuals and organized groups projects

 

 

ACTIVITIES

PELEP networks organized women and youth groups. The groups are mobilized to create and maintain a common pool funds from where members can easily access both short  and long term loans at friendly and flexible terms.

PELEP applies table banking principles in its operation resulting into a revolving loan fund (R.L.F).

MEMBERSHIP

Membership to P.E.L.E.P is open to both individuals of either gender who are 18yrs and above and must be in a group of atleast nine members
